The Model Finishing School is a pioneering venture of the Government of Kerala, set up with the purpose of enhancing employability of qualified youths from the State of Kerala.A Government of Kerala (GoK) undertaking, the Model Finishing School is a joint initiative of the IT Department, GoK and the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD), with the support of industry-major Infosys. The IHRD is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the institution MFS Ernakulam started functioning in the year 2010 in the premises of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Kaloor. Currently, Model Finishing Ernakulam offer various courses for the benefit of students for employing a secure place in Job market. MFS is offering various courses under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology(NIELIT), Enterpreneurial Skill Training for PWD candidates on "Operating Heat Press Machines",MIKAVU-project of Ernakulam Jilla Panchayath, TECHIE SPACE- project of District Industrial Department, Ernakulam. Internship programs for Diploma and Degree Students, Certificate Course, Summer Tinkering.

Model Finishing School (MFS) Kaloor is a government institution under the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD), Government of Kerala.
